Celebrate Lent at The Turning Pointe
The Heart Matters
Lent is a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. It’s an invitation to slow down, examine our hearts, and prepare ourselves for the joy of Easter.
In a world that constantly pushes us to move faster and look better, Lent invites us to do something different. It calls us to honesty before God. To deeper prayer. To renewed dependence on His grace.
This year, we’re walking through Lent together with a new teaching series called The Heart Matters, remind us that God isn’t interested in surface-level faith. He desires transformation from the inside out.
Whether you’re new to church, returning after some time away, or have been walking with Christ for years, you are invited to join us during this sacred season.
Why Lent Matters
Lent reminds us of two important truths:
We are human.
We need a Savior.
This season helps us acknowledge our brokenness without despair and turn toward the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It creates space for repentance that leads not to shame, but to healing and renewal.
Lent isn’t about perfection; it’s about posture: a posture of humility, of openness, and of trust in God’s mercy.
Teaching Series
Throughout the season of Lent, we’ll explore what Scripture says about the heart: our motives, our loves, and our need for God’s transforming grace.
Each message will invite us to move beyond the surface-level faith and allow God to search us, renew us, and lead us into deeper obedience and joy. This series is for anyone looking for a more authentic, Christ-centered faith.

Practicing Lent Together
Lent isn’t just something we learn about; it’s something we practice.
During this season, many Christians choose to fast or give something up to create space to focus more fully on God. Others choose to add a spiritual practice, such as daily prayer, Scripture reading, or intentional generosity.
The goal isn’t deprivation. The goal is intention. We invite you to participate in Lent in a way that helps you listen more closely to God and respond more faithfully to His leading.
Join us this Lent
Lent is a journey toward hope.
It’s a reminder that mercy and forgiveness aren’t found in trying harder, but in returning again to a gracious God.
We invite you to walk this journey with us, to bring your heart into the light, and to discover the renewal that only Christ can give.
